Hi Guys,
Great sailing on Ohope today. Rick and I had the whole beach to ourselves. The strong nor’easter kept most walkers at home. Sand was hard smooth and fast. Perfect for superfast downhill runs. Rick and I sailed from the spit to West End at speed! By mid afternoon I had to load up with two 20kg bags of wet sand to hold the 4.0m storm sail down and clock my max speed ( 97.5 Kph ). Could probably done a few more kph but the beach was getting a bit too narrow for my liking. The sweepers were coming up the beach at random intervals so we called it a day. Thanks for the beer Rick. I needed one after that.
More wind tomorrow! The drought has been broken.
